Redevelopment of two prominent buildings near the intersection at the east end of Findlay Market that vibrates with urban energy. Our office welcomed the challenge to preserve historic character, while updating it to a more open and contemporary design. This project highlights a timeless design while preserving historic flourishes and finishes. The first floor storefront of 1814 Race houses the Findlay Market outpost of Deeper Roots coffee, while upper floor dwellings in both buildings in this project feature open, efficient, effortless, and airy spaces—highlighting tall historic ceilings and windows throughout.
