From the start, Social was a project at the confluence of so many of our passion and identity. We were excited by the possibility to work with such great partners as CityLink, Findlay Market Assoc. and Model Group to create a unique and innovative dining experience in the heart of our neighborhood. We were intrigued by the combination of shared fine-dining and a culinary training program that provides real-world experience to those who have not been afforded the opportunities. This mission provided the driving influence for the architectural, interior, and brand design, which we were involved with every step of the way. The result is a space that feels open and accessible, but with a degree of sophistication. Custom wood tables by Cincinnati Wood Collaborative, trim work by Art Woodworking, mural and artwork by Cody Gunningham, and handmade light fixture designed and fabricated by Platte and Blackrock complete this collaborative local project. The bright and tall dining space is connected by a long addition which passes by the kitchen, allowing patrons to see the staff and students at work. Down this corridor, off of the rear alley is a lower, richer & moodier lounge space which serves cocktails and late-night bites for the burgeoning neighborhood.
